Do you want rewards NOW without the process of waiting, growing and staying on the course? Are you more likely to be disciplined and stay consistently on the working track, or get frustrated and give up? I had some inspiring insights today about patience and wanted to share with you.
We are approaching a season of thanksgiving, gratefulness, giving and receiving. Amidst all of it, if we don't practice patience, frustration will take over. We spend a good amount of time waiting in our lifetime: waiting for rewards of healthy habits, waiting to see fitness results, waiting for relationships to develop, heal or be more connected, or waiting for a special day or person to arrive. Using Christmas Day as an example, I think about all the planning and little steps it takes to get prepared for this special day. Waking up on Christmas morning is our reward from all the waiting and progress we've made. We've waited for Jesus to be born and celebrate by giving and receiving gifts, decorating our homes, baking and cooking for friends and family. Preparing takes a ton of work, and it's all worth it! Sure, we'll experience frustration if we let it get to us. But this season, I'm praying for patience to persevere in all that you and I do.
Persistence isn't easy. Getting to our goals can be a struggle. But, that doesn't mean, we can't make it happen! With patience and perseverance, will come progress; individual progress, no one else's. Day by day, week by week, step by step, you'll reap rewards. Stand up with confidence without comparing. We keep moving forward, but our past can dictate our progress. Look back on things that worked for you in the past and celebrate those milestones. Put away any negative thoughts you stored in your mind. I'm telling you now, YOU CAN SUCCEED! Trials from our past can push us forward in our futures. Let's commit with confidence to continue on with patience and persistency. Keep planning. Keep preparing. Keep moving forward. Keep believing. Keep asking questions, I'm here to support you. Do. Not. Stop! BE THE BEST VERSION OF YOU WITH PATIENCE!! Do you have more patience or frustration in your health journey?
All the things I want for 2021- patience and perseverance
